Mack Grout – Keyboards
![]()
Before rocking the keyboards in the Dudley Manlove Quartet, I graduated from Cornish College of the Arts. I’ve been studying the piano for more than twenty years and have played in nearly every type of band you can think of, from Hawaiian to hip hop. I’m also an in-demand jazz pianist, and I play frequently with my own jazz band, the Mack Grout Trio. When I’m not performing, I run a successful teaching studio that has been featured on NPR.
I love to see people have a great time with my music, which is why I love to play in the Dudley Manlove Quartet so much!

John Hendow – Guitar

In addition to guitar duties in the Dudley Manlove Quartet, I play with local bands The 1 Uppers (guitar) and The Preons (bass and Warr Guitar). Trained in classical, jazz, and rock guitar, I enjoy playing all styles of music – especially classic popular songs. With such great bandmates and fun material to play, DMQ is a big slice of heaven for me.
Prior to joining up with DMQ, I spent 20 years playing guitar in Jumbalassy, appearing on all of the band’s recordings and videos. I have multiple recording credits as a studio musician and have performed with Ants Invasion, Black Celebration, 80s Invasion, and El Vez.

Stefan Mitchell – Lead Vocals
When not singing with my pals in Dudley Manlove, I’m touring North America and sometimes the whole planet supporting my original music. A signed singer-songwriter, I have four solo CDs under my belt with about twelve other recording credits. You can find my solo material on iTunes.
Previously, I fronted the bands neverMAN, Ants Invasion, Black Celebration, and 80s Invasion.

Jeff Mosier – Drums
For me, DMQ is the culmination of a quarter of a century as a professional musician. I’ve been in DMQ since it actually was a quartet and I’m proud to have helped turn something that started as a lark into one of the Northwest’s most enduring and beloved bands. After a decade and a half and untold hundreds of performances, I can honestly say that I’m having more fun than ever. I love the process of choosing songs that are familiar yet a little unexpected, getting together with the other guys at rehearsal and making them our own, and then seeing the ecstatic looks on people’s faces when we play them.
Steve Okimoto – Bass
I’m a founding member of DMQ and I’ve played in symphony orchestras, big bands, jazz combos, and punk bands as well. But of course, my main and favorite gig is the Dudley Manlove Quartet. I love playing great nostalgic tunes, but most importantly, I love the fact that people have a blast hearing them. My bass teacher in college told me that music is not just the notes, but the feel and spirit behind them. I truly love playing music and feel pure joy when onstage performing!
When I’m not busy with DMQ, I play bass in the Alma Villegas Quartet doing a wide variety of cha-cha, bossa nova, and salsa standards.
